The bus will leave right after school.
Be on the bus at the front of the school at 3:15.

The meet will start at 4:00 and end around 7:30 but…
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PREDICT WHEN IT WILL END.

Bring food, or money to buy snacks. They usually have a small concession stand, but not always.

Order of events:

Starting at 4:00PM:
Shot Put (Boys first)
High Jump (girls first)

Starting at 4:00PM:
Two mile run.
the meet will progress in this order, as events finish:
55m Hurdles
55m Dash
1 mile run
600m
300m
1km
4 × 200m relay
4 × 400m relay

TRANSPORTATION
Bus times are posted on the team’s schedule. Since the team needs adequate time to set-up and prepare, the bus will leave on schedule. Please make sure you are on the bus before it leaves. While on the bus TO meets, athletes should keep the noise to a minimum, so everyone can mentally prepare.
Team members will ride to and from all competitions on the team bus, unless there are extremely extenuating circumstances and the prior approval has been given by the athletic director.
In the rare event that a team member does not go home on the bus, the athlete must complete the post race run, cool-down, stretch, team meeting and clean up before they leave. When they leave, the parent who is bringing them home will check out with the coach in person.

THE INFIELD
Only Athletes who are checking in to their event or who are actively participating in the SP or HJ are allowed in the infield. All other athletes should stay outside the track, or in the spectator section behind the High Jump.

SPECTATOR SECTIONS
The bleachers behind the high jump and near the Shot Put are reserved for parents and should not be used by athletes or coaches. Athletes and coaches can keep their belongings in the Cafeteria.

STAY AT SHREWSBURY HS
Athletes may not leave Shrewsbury HS until they get on the bus at the end of the meet.
While at Shrewsbury HS, please do not run in the school hallways. Stay in the field house or cafeteria. If you want more space to warm up, you may do so outside, on the sidewalks of the school.
